Narcotics
We had big plans to go to dinner with good friends J & MA tonight.  But poor Husbandman got this horrible pain.  We were very worried and we went to the EMERGENCY ROOM!  Now we’re home and everything’s AOK and Husbandman is taking narcotics.
Niceness
Our friend J is a doctor.  When J and MA found out that our dinner plans were cancelled, they came right to the hospital to check on Husbandman.  J conferred with the doctor and talked to us about the possibilities.  He also called the doctor after we got home to get more info on the diagnosis for us.  It was so comforting to have the support and expertise of J and MA.  Geezlouise, their niceness nocks me out!

WHat?! Sounds horrible! Hope P is feeling better.
N-nature. We've seen plenty of nature this week and were awed by much of it. My fave was the ocean crashing over the rocks. We head home tomorrow, and I am ready to sleep in my own bed.
N-noise. I always love the quiet. Noise of school children and family can get to me, so I love the quiet.

Thx, MM. I shot this photo at the science museum in Louisville, KY. I like it too.

N = Nancy. Who needs to come home asap.

Hi Kc, he's still not feeling great, but at least we're home. As you probably recall from my H entry, hospitals are a thing I hate.

Whoa! I really hope P is making a full recovery. How scary. And how great to have such wonderful, take-charge friends!

N is also for Nantes a city in France with castles galore and close proximity to lovely beaches and even more castles. My teen daughter is there now which is wonderful for her and a little lonesome for us.

I wish your traveller would come home. I don't like when they travel. TD went to Chicago this weekend to the Pitchfork festival. I did not really care for that. #1 son headed up to Indy last night to hear Umphrey's McGee. Again, not pleased. BUT, he did say they did a great cover of THeads, I've got a girlfriend. So I guess that makes it worthwhile.

I've got a girlfriend whose better than that.
She does whatever she likes!

I love the THeads! They are on the regular playlist. They make me think of your wedding.

I don't care for the travel thing either. But then there's the enrichment, developing independence, blah, blah, blah, argument to consider. Considering this is on my to-do list.

Meanwhile we head to NYC next week to meet our TD when she returns. ☺ ☺ ☺

Love to you, your ailing HM (not too ailing, I hope), TD and #1.

N is for NYC. I admit, I'm inspired by CB's mention of it. We are going for 8 days in October. Have reserved our flights and rented an apartment. VRBO.com is your friend. We will be staying in the Village, on Thompson Street, just a door or two down from the Mario Batali restaurant Lupa. They make a fine carbonara there. It's not too late for all of Ms. H.'s readers to plan to be there too...
