Nearly all of us can make the chain stitch. There was some moaning, gnashing of teeth, and cries of I DON'T GET IT. But no tears and by the end of the day, mostly smiles. Most of them crocheted the chain stitch while I read at the end of the day. I like that. Next step will be making the second row.
Perhaps I need to attempt drawing a dog tonight.
