The Corn Dog

 commercial  corn  corn

I had a post about a corn dog Tums commercial, but #1 son and Husbandman felt it wasn't my best work.  I'm keeping the links tho.  Those took me awhile to find.
The teacher work sessions went well today.
Tomorrow we celebrate Poem In Your Pocket Day.  The kids seem pretty hyped.  I'm thankful to all the teachers who have gotten them pumped up.    I found a little poem by Michael Rosen for my pocket.  It goes like this:

Come in, come in, wherever you've been....
This is the poem in which you're a part.
This is the poem that knows you by heart.

I'm thrilled that I learned about PiYP from you. It's no surprise that I agree with you that the staff plays a huge part along with the kids.

Do you like how this is kind of a hidden picture?

I skipped poem pocket day this year, and I feel kind if bad about it.

Yes, they came late tho, so we're saving them in the fridge for all the cool office workers who put up with all our craziness day in, day out.

i'm glad I posted my poem here on leeway. The day was so crazy, I never even got to take it out of my pocket.

But we had our celebration in the gym, and I had 5 kinders in my lap reading their poems to me.

And I led the school in reading 4 poems chorally. Saved "I'm being eaten by a boa constrictor" for the end. It was like an encore at a rock show. The kids screamed that poem out by heart.

Another crazy but sweet day at the artful school.

Thanks, Good Pal Menosky. For once again being the patron saint of the View.

Well, I'm glad they got there, albeit late. (No one ever does anything on time any more.)
Your Poetry Day sounds just great!

It really was fun. 300 kids with poems in their pockets.
How fun is that?

This one little kinder who has called me many horrible names and has even tried to bite me sat in my lap and had me read his poem to him. purple Stew. Then he sat and listened to a bunch of other kids read their poems. Then he just looked at me and jumped up and ran off like a little fox.

Highlight.
