The Anticipation

I'm watching the news and the anchor just said, "Up next.  Two whales and a kayaker in a photo so spectacular we thought it might be fake."  Obviously I'm going to stay tuned for that.  I love whales.  I'm going to wait through all these stupid commercials.
Now they're back and they're not showing the spectacular photograph yet.  And I have to learn that BP is allowed to start drilling in the gulf again, in deeper water than the original well.  Hard to stay calm hearing that.  Next, puppy on the top of a freight train.   Here it comes!  Yes, it was fab.  Well worth the wait.

D, Kayaker was fine, but thought the fin was going to hit right down on him! It didn't thankfully.

N, Yes, I'm glad you're in the literacy cohort with me this year. I like looking at the back of your head.
And talking to you too.

I hope my shirt wasn't inside out or my hair was sticking up
; ).
I am not sure what is more amazing the whales and the kayaker or letting BP drill.

This is a crazy picture!!!

And, I can't believe you had to watch that whole bad news show to see it.

That picture is amazing. Calm Till Christmas will fail as initiative if I watch the news every night, that's for sure.

Jonathan and I watched the video of the helmet cam of one of the kayakers. This guy got in the water and went swimming with the whales too. It was fantastic and utterly bizarre. It is a fantastic photograph though.
The problem with still photographs is sometimes they perpetuate anticipation forever.

Way to stay calm through all that! I have always speculated that whales are really big compared to kayakers, and now I have my proof!
