The Weekend

We drove to the West Baden Springs Hotel and as you can see it's magnificent. There's a casino down the way and we put 1$ in a slot machine. We gave that dollar a good ride, and almost walked away with 9$. In the end, we left with 1 cent. So that was disappointing.

I am reading eool as well. It is good, and I can really relate to the timely chicago-ness of some of it from my past. 1 cent. You crack me up.

I love When You Reach Me. I just finished Countdown by one of my fav authors. I see it's the first book in a trilogy.

We are not much for gambling either. Ended up at a casino one time, spent $5 and walked away with $2 and two free drinks. Husband laughs at me because I always tell him, "I want /something/ for my money." Might be a stupid stuffed animal at the fair, but I want SOMETHING. ;)

exactly. I always figure... we can figure this thing out. but then i realize.... everyone in the place has the exact same thought.

we've only gambled 2x in the 23 years we've been married. One time we won 49 $. The other time we lost 99 Cents.

What does this tell us?

The Time in Paris

As usual Paris doesn't disappoint.  Old stuff, new stuff, it's all jumbled up with wow everywhere you look. We loved the Henry Tayl...
