The Uniforms

Today was the first practice game of the baseball season. I watched #1 son and his good pal D play a rousing game. Two sixers showed up and sat with me awhile. They looked awesome in their bright purple hats, purple tees, and white baseball pants. Watching them in their baseball glory, I thought about how nice it would be if each classroom were assigned a baseball uniform for school. The kids would look great and it might promote unity. I think we could do without the sponsors. I'm not sure if they're really necessary. Posted by Picasa

I think that says a lot that the sixers sat with you. I've seen those kiddos in uniforms and they even act more rationally and kinder. Go figure.
I'm off to plant some pansies and work on some orders.
How does one decide which books to order with so little money?

i think probably the answer to your question is to focus on one grade level when ordering. Probably sixth would be best.

I graded all day long, now i'm off to the movies. yay.

Hi friend, so sorry I missed the deck on friday. My rather insane work week began on Monday with the new office/new job and the chicken being killed, and ended on Friday with Crystal Flash (the jeep) not starting when I left work and having to be towed to the repair place in the middle of all the traffic generated by the world's largest college party weekend. AND I MISSED FOTD which was EVEN WORSE than the jeep being in the shop all weekend. Plus, and this is ALMOST funny, the bf said he'd pick me up at firestone after the tow at 5:00pm. I got there at 4:30 pm so I thought, hey, I'll run over and get some chinese carryout for dinner. I walked out of Sunny Palace with 15 minutes to spare, and see the bf pulling out of firestone and driving very fast through Kroger parking lot. And so I have to run, screaming and waving my arms, across the parking lot, praying that I catch his eye because he was already in a horrendously bad mood, and if he hadn't seen me, I would've just walked home rather than deal with The Mood. Hey, this should be blog entry, no?
