The Salt

We saw Salt today.  Very good.  Evelyn Salt is a badass.  Now I'm watching Nine.  We have no idea why we rented this.  I despise musicals.  But Daniel Day Lewis is a good actor and I might like bits of this.  It just started.  Dance sequence.  Don't think I'm going to make it through this.  Husbandman just said, "Oy Vey."   What were we thinking?

Nine? You're kidding! I like many musicals, but this one doesn't have even one memorable song.
Thanks for all your schlepping today. But, you managed to leave one small plastic bag of books behind. We never even moved it into the front room.
Saving, and adding to it, for you.

(Word Verification today is "scary."

I ordered it because I love Daniel Day Lewis, but it was SO BAD (imho). We just zipped through the songs. Nothing charming about it at all.

D, You're very welcome. I always enjoy our book room chatting.

I love all of the movie watching going on. Even if Nine was a dud. Taking it of my queue now.

Thanks for the warning on Nine - although I hate to miss any Daniel Day Lewis experience. Maybe I'll just watch a Charlie Rose/DDL interview again.

Last night I finished reading "The Days of Abandonment" by Elena Ferrante. A very good and engrossing read.

We call him DDL in my am lit class because he appears in so many classics of am lit. However, my fave ddl movie is a room w a view, in which he plays Cecil.

My hs eng teacher often remarked on ddl's handsomeness. My teacher was a married stoic forty-something guy. Ddl is just objectively handsome, and that's it.
