A kinder came up to me today and said, "Mrs. Dr. H., I need to get into a different reading group. I want to be with Matthew." "I'll see what I can do kiddo."
His teacher walked by a bit later and I asked her quietly, "Did you tell that kid I was
in charge of the reading groups?"
"Sorry," she told me, "He wanted to switch so I told him you were the only one who could make changes."

Well, I know what I would do - switch him into the group he wants to be in.

working on it.
happy friday....
This is funny. I'm going to start telling my students that if they want something, they'll have to ask Mrs. Dr. H. too.
The solution: A sit down meeting with the teacher, the kid, and you. To discuss the whys and wherefores.

Oh rats! You may get a bunch of comments from me.
When I tried to post, they disappeared. More than likely they will all show up later.
Aaarrgh.
