The Leaf

I thought I saw a slug on the deck, but when I looked more closely I saw that it was just a wet leaf.

Could you step up the drama just a wee bit? I could really use it.

Some friends of mine once saw a frog in Golden Gate Park. They all said they saw the frog and one of them took a photo (pre-digital age). The photo showed only leaves. Was your slug experience anything like that?

Sisterwoman,

Welcome home! Shhhh about the slugs on the back deck, our parental unit will scream "the dreaded maribunta" and it is all downhill from there!

j, i'm working on it. life's a little on the slow side right now. probably a brick will fall on my head or some such nonsense now that i've uttered those words.
teendaughter, do you remember when you saw the banana slug in muir woods? how cool was that?
and mr. bob, it was a little like that. did they actually see the frog?

j, i'll tell ya later.

Oh yes. We actually saw the frog. Our picture taking skills may have been a little -- how shall we say -- fuzzy, but we definitley saw the frog.

hey ms mary. at least you have that good memory of the frog. whereas i don't even have the memory of the slug, just the memory of the belief that i was seeing it.
