Depp's freaky facial expressions made me sick to my stomach when I watched the preview for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Took a few hours for me to get over the creepiness of it.

Today is the penultimate day of school, so I reminded both offspring to try to use that word as frequently as possible in their interactions. Opportunities for usage are rare. Posted by Hello

You had me looking it up -actually, that was the penultimate task for my morning! (P.S.--sorry to hear your exit strategy preps aren't going well ..... can I do ANYTHING to help... perhaps suggest a different wine?)By the way, when does "the husbandman" return? ---con mucho amor (B and I are signing up for a conversational Spanish class...none too soon, I might add)

He comes home tonight. So yesterday was the penultimate day of his trip. I want to take conversational spanish too.

That's a good point about penultimate. Most of the time we are so focused on the ultimate that we forget about the pen. Now I'm feeling a little sorry for the third to the last...the tresultimate.

Somehow, Dan finds SO many opportunities to use this word. It's one of his faves.

I wonder if this will be the penultimate, or maybe even the tresultimate comment to this post. I doubt it will be the ultimate.

I used it. I wished the media director at my school a good penultimate day with the kids.

My messae board for kids yesterday said, "Today is the penultimate day of school. Any guesses what the word penultimate means?"

Not surprised we're thinking alike -- even from a great distance. Can't wait until you're back!

Hi HR! We're thinking of having a deck party next friday, so think on that my friend!!! Happy summer to you.
Minnesota and Georgia pals invited as well. Hop in the mini van?

Good use of penultimate, all. R and Q did use it a few times yesterday.
