The Diss

Good news. I worked on the diss three mornings this week. I'm working on being more optimistic about the project. I'm reading a book about creativity. This week I'm supposed to work on optimism and surrounding myself with encouraging folks. If you feel like encouraging me, go for it. If you're too busy right now, that's okay. I'll probably quit working on it pretty soon anyway.
This fish lives at our doctor's office.

Maybe you need to come on a diss retreat to Minnesota? I think that sounds like a good idea. I could be a very effective encourager in person.

SURPRISE! I'm on your blog tonight! I know, it's been so long you've probably given up on me altogether. I'm so sorry I missed seeing you and everyone else last week. I was in pretty bad shape after working too hard. I hope we can do something soon! Happy New Year!

Quit?! What's that? Quitting's for losers, not for someone who's working full-time, a mom, and a dissertation writer! You amaze us all!

You rock sister woman!!! Optimism is my gig as you know. I still think Santa is bringing me a pony every year. I'm going to be extra good this year as I just know 2007 is my "Pony Year".

Remember darling, you do it all, get up and do it again! You can do more things while holding a glass of wine than most of us can do with both hands free on our best day.

I salute you!!

Joy

(See lots of !!! points are in the Optimist Creative Writing Manual)
