I know I shouldn't expect too much of the new kids on the block, but if those results hadn't gone as they did, I'm not sure you would have heard from me again. I probably would have just started walking away. Who knows where?

don't forget the big news out of South Dakota, as Atrios noted, their rejection of the terrible anti-abortion law reveals that "[b]eing genuinely anti-choice - that is, advocating for legal bans on abortion - is officially an extremist position."
wanda sykes has a great standup performance on hbo right now. her talk about pro choice is hysterically right on.

okay...back to trying to put together an ncte talk, the thing i've been talking about for 2 weeks, but somehow never doing. right now i keep trying to figure out what would be a cool foto to put on the title slide. that's probably part of my problem. should save those details for the end. but i've never been a delayed gratification kinda gal.
