L' Histoire

This Rue Mouffetard est tres bon. We brought our market lunch to Arrenes Lutece, an open air gladiator arena put in by those Romans way back in the 1st century bc, a little while after they conquered the tribe Parisii, who fished and lived happily on the ile de cite. Then gardens and musee de histoire naturelle.
I need to figure out how to order a second glass of wine. My attempt last night didn't work out. Please advise. S'l vous plait. C'est un catastrophe.

Mah frand,

That would be.....

Un autre verre de vin, s'il vous plaît.

Actually though, I am thinking you will have mastered the second glass of wine request by now, right?

Or, you can point to your glass and say, "La meme chose, s'il vous plait."
Or, you can simply order two at the beginning.

Perhaps you can just order pepsi, sweet tea or coffee and relive the great SNL skit where John Belushi is the waiter at the french bistro. Regardless of the order, wine!! Don't be afraid to just cut loose and learn the word "bouteille"!!! You will never be without that second glass of wine!!

What I remember about trying to speak French is that the more wine I drank the more fluent I became! Do you find that too? I'm really enjoying these pictures of Paris. You guys must be having the time of your lives! We miss you!

Merci beaucoup mes amis.

I am ready to try again.

Had an excellent meal last night but some french speakers joined us so it was tres facile. Cognac accompanied my banana dessert. yay.

Rue Mouffetard looks great. Not sure if I've been there or if it just looks like so many of the other wonderful market streets in Paris. By chance, is it in the 7th?
