The Day

  1. Woke up and finished this fine novel.
  2. Walked over to the dentist to adjust my bite.
  3. Headed over to Menosky's for some chat and a bevvy
  4. Went to see Bank Job
  5. Came home and had a grilled cheese sandwich.
  6. Watched Darjeeling Limited.
  7. Except for #2, the day's been just right.

I LOVE grilled cheese! I always order it when out for lunch and my husband thinks I'm a little crazy for it. I really love Crackel Barrel's...if they use American, not cheddar, cheese...with their sour dough bread and bacon...I'm salivating!

Hi C... There's a really good grilled cheese here at a shop called Tutto Bene. come on down and it'll be my treat. It has pesto and goat cheese. I may have to go get it tonight.

a grilled cheese challenge could be good for top chef i think. Let's see what they're really made of.

i just found out through googling that joshua braff (who wrote this book that I just finished and liked a lot) is the brother of zach braff.
An interesting tidbit.

my goal for today is to finish another proposal.
let's see if i can get this done.

this novel looks v. interesting. i think i should probably pick it up. i am still struggling through the middle of white teeth, and i think it's time to give up. the principles of uncertainty was like a breath of fresh lovely air. I'm also thinking of getting some more cormac mccarthy. we are reading all the pretty horses in class right now, and i kind of love that book.

i also love grilled cheese.

The public library had Darjeeling Limited? That's brilliant. Sounds like the spring break is going very well. We need some good books for my book club. Other recommendations?

I just finished Double Bind by Chris Bohjalian and kind of wish i had a book club to chat with about it.
i got that book from the library as well.
i didn't get the vids from the library, but they may have it. who's to say? ( i may have misled you on that idea. lo siento mucho).
i got a notice today that i have some overdues and that some other patron wants a book i checked out asap. geez.

Another good book: Ordinary Spy by joseph weisberg. husbandman liked it a lot and i may read it.

now i'm reading what to keep by rachel cline.

and have you read abstinence teacher? i liked that a lot. what did you think of it kc?
i see it's on your reading list.

i'm acting like i'm a big time reader when i've only read about 3 books in the past year.

i am going to watch all the pretty horses with matt damon in it tonight. i've heard it's a bad movie, but i love matt damon.

I am on a real Phillipa Gregory bender. First, "The Other Boleyn Girl" and now "The Queen's Fool". It's sort of romance, some real history, and some fake history all rolled up into one. A guilty pleasure ;) I also read Atonement and now I must read every book by Ian McEwan, too.

i want to read that boleyn girl book. but the movie is not getting great reviews. some people say it's a "bodice buster" and some people say it's not a "bodice buster."

I have to say this rachel kline book is q. good.
