This is great.
GC is one of my all time favorite books, and I loved looking at this Prezi. I love the word hardscrabble that you used. I also have kids read this in class, and it's great to talk about with them.
mm said she didn't really like Half Broke Horses, which is the next book. It's true it's not AS engaging as this awesome book, but I did actually really like it.

That gal is v. upbeat about her life. She said in one interview, "We're all very lucky." I love that.
I like these Prezis. Now I feel like I read the book myself.
