The Room
Today I received some startling news from bosslady. I will be moving classrooms this year because we will most likely have too many kindergarteners coming to learn with us in autumn. My new room is 1/2 the size of my old room, about the size of a postage stamp, but it has a great view of the downtown courthouse square so I've decided to be upbeat about it. Once again, I've proven to be a team player at the school site. I'm not sure anyone's noticing this, but they really should. This type of positive attitude is a rarity.

As a peripheral participant this year in moving eight 4th & 5th grade teachers to newly renovated classrooms a mere 10% smaller than their previous (un-renovated) classrooms -- and with the added bonus of 2 shared break-out spaces and additional dedicated storage cabinets and storage rooms -- I assure you, you are, indeed, a saint for moving without complaint.
While most of the time,it is nice working in high socio-economic status districts, sometimes the sense of entitlement drives me up the freaking wall...
