The Wonderment
4 baby hamsters are now 6, so we have more to share with others. Please sign up as you leave. We're heading to a Pacers game tonight, my first time ever seeing a professional basketball game. Though Husbandman continues his attempts to curb my enthusiasm by reporting negative opinions about the Pacer's record, I am upbeat and fairly certain that tonight will be the best night of my life.

For the past few years, the company has rented costumes for us -- pirates, roaring 20s -- you get the idea. This year, partly as a cost cutting move and partly in an effort to get our clients to dress up in costume too, the theme is prom night. And we're on our own for costumes.
So here's the dilemma: do I go big, purple, and poufy to make it all into some sort of imagined come as you were kinda deal and then have to own such a dress, assuming I can find one that fits in a reasonable amount of time, or do I go out and buy a dress in an attempt to look as fabulous as these girls do and hope something about my life will change to the point where I have a shred of hope of wearing it again?
Now accepting advice from all corners.
Please keep us posted.
What's it look like? Well, imagine Rene Russo's black lace party dress in the Thomas Crowne Affair.
Now, don't expect me to look as good as she does, but it's not bad.
Now the dilemma really begins as I don't have appropriate shoes or wrap.
