The Fandango

I told firstie teacher today that we might try having LOUDKID sit in a laundry basket during read to self time.  I saw pictures of kiddos sitting in laundry baskets on the Daily 5 web site.  Come to find out cool firstie teacher had an extra laundry basket.  LOUD popped in like he was born there.  Read his books for many minutes.  LOUD usually drives me crazy, but today I got to see his sweet side.

Spent the evening with GoodPal Menosky.  I always love a good chat and fun dinner with Good Pal.  Lots of holiday cheer.

Do they make baskets that will house an 8 year old?

I loved it too. Thanks so much for coming over. I know how busy you are.
BTW, those old bean bag chairs work like laundry baskets for reading.

A laundry basket? I'm not sure of the appeal.

Some days I feel like crawling in a laundry basket.

Sam loves it in the laundry basket. He likes it best when we pull him around. Maybe we should just get a wagon.

What a great idea! I am stocking up on pillows over winter break because they are extremely appealing and motivating for the middle schoolers. Shef and Mac, though, still like the laundry baskets.

I use the big tubs with the handles on the sides. They are plastic and my kids love them! This year, I think I could use a class set of them! ;)

The LOUDKID was less enchanted with his basket by the end of the week. I'm crossing my fingers that he can settle back in to it in the new year. Adding pillows is a possibility, but then everyone's going to want pillows. And who can blame them. It would be neat if they could all have baskets and pillow pets. But the lice situation would be out of control.
