The Randoms


1. Full moon tonight. Magnolias doing their thing. Forsythia showing off as usual.
2. A line from a kid's poem amused me,
"I am from young confusion
and disbelief."
3. #1 son started up a My Space space and I am curious about that world. Am I too old for My Space???
4. Today a kid asked me, "Can I have your orange?"When I tossed it to him, another kid said, "That's so random."

My students always ask for the fruit on my desk. Sometimes I give it freely. Sometimes not. Random indeed.

the randomness of the fruit ritual is what makes it so important. Probably.
we all are fond of this foto here. i have to get clearance for all fotos now.

i'm obsessed with #1 son's my space. do u 2 have my spaces?

Isn't myspace supposed to be a place where you can go and be whomever you want withOUT having your mom check it out? ;)

The man-cub has a myspace, so I have looked through it some. some of it is innocent kid-stuff. Some of it made me want to be sick--pictures of young girls that were obscene, trash talk that was really horrid. Seems to be a lot of 18-20 year olds who are no holds barred in what they put on there. I am giving the man-cub some personal space, but I have expressed strong opinions to him about some of the stuff I've seen. You might want to do a little monitoring of #1's activities there. Just my .02
