The Trip

Our trip to one room school house went well yesterday. 3 key peeps were absent and that helped considerably. The walk to the creek was my highlight. Wildflowers up and about. I tried to take some Menosky style pix, but I suck as a flower photographer. Everything was blurry. Got a good foto of a dog with ticks laying in the sun though.

The Day

JW and I had a successful shopping outing. I got some new school uniforms. We also bought some plants for planting in the garden. I ended the day back home, watching The Savages. I had the best day of my life.

The Etiquette

When I get my strength back, I'm going to introduce a Cold Sore Etiquette course for schoolsite. Kids and adults alike will enroll. The first session will focus on "What is a cold sore?" So many, many people asked me questions about what was on my mouth yesterday. And they seemed confused when I responded with the term, "Cold Sore." I'll work out the next few sessions soon.

The Note

The sub said my class did pretty well on Friday. I've never gotten a positive note from a sub. Losing KWMP and other kid who drove me insane has had a positive impact on the class, it would seem. She left this p.s. though: "At afternoon recess, the kids were playing a game called "Sexual Harassment." This game involved kids grabbing each other's butts. I thought you might want to be aware of this."

The Pup

M and D have a new dog, Guadalupe. She has a broken leg. They got her that way.

The Illness Pt. 2

The Illness

KWMP had so many problems this half week, it was unbelievable. I think things might be getting better soon. But now I'm wickedly ill and heading to bed. I'm pretty sure it's the stress that put me over the edge.

The Garden

I saved the life of this fine worm last week.

The Pep

I'm trying to get some pep. I've been heading to bed early all week, just to rest and relax. And to crochet some amazing items. I've deserted my fam and they're starting to make comments like, "Do you think you'll ever be doing laundry again? I need clothes for my soccer games." These comments have caused me to react with hostile glares, gestures and comments. But tonight I'm trying to get back in everyone's good graces. I'm folding clothes. Doing a damn fine job.

The Walk

We rented Delirious last night. Very good film, with Steve Buscemi. I crocheted an orange granny square as we watched. Today we have the Homeward Bound walk to complete. And about 6 million other things. At any rate, rent that movie.

The Plan

I need to get that camera charger replaced. I'm still ticked off about losing that. I may also work on sending DISS out to second publisher. Poor DISS got
a rejection letter this week from first publisher. DISS is undeterred, ready to hop back in the mailer once again and travel off to new lands. Better luck next time, DISS!

The Son

#1 son is 14 today.
